This PowerPoint presentation was used during the National Healthy Marriage Resource Center Webinar Training held on January 23, 2008, and designed to assist grantees with a better understanding of how to apply federal rules entitled “”Equal Treatment for Faith-Based Organizations,”” with a particular emphasis on the standard for determining whether curricula contains inherently religious activities. The presentation addresses selecting and presenting Healthy Marriage and Responsible Fatherhood curricula in compliance with 45 CFR Part 87. Legal regulations and safeguards are reviewed, and examples of compliant curricula are listed.
