Designed to be used as a companion to the book, this small group workbook presents a Christian-based curriculum for helping couples effectively deal with common obstacles to healthy and happy marriages. It presents exercises and activities for 12 1½-hour sessions that address: the couples’ dedication to a true and deepening relationship with Jesus Christ; God’s view of marriage and developing a covenant relationship; principles of positive communication; making a marriage a top priority next to a relationship with God; pursuing a quality marriage; fulfilling the law of possession in marriage; creating an atmosphere of purity and trust in marriage; the four basic needs of a man; the four basic needs of a woman; principles of financial success; and sexual fulfillment in marriage. Each session includes biblical citations, small group activities, and couple activities. The final session in the curriculum leads couples through a vow renewal ceremony. The workbook concludes with leader notes that outline objectives, suggest strategies, and list materials needed for conducting the workshop.
