Coalitions that are interested in taking action on marriage-related issues need to have a good understanding of trends in marriage and divorce in their area. For example, coalitions that aim to reduce their divorce rates need reliable data on the prevalence of divorce in their area. Furthermore, it is important to know what data is available and the most effective way to present the pertinent information. Integrating this module with the “”Community Intervention Evaluation”” module, Lewin’s Evaluation Team will equip sites with the informational resources necessary to effectively identify, collect, and use pertinent indicator data. Using appropriate data, sites can produce tables, charts and maps that reflect demographics across counties and changes in marriage and divorce rates. (Author abstract)
