This instructor’s manual includes information for conducting the Marriage LINKS (Lasting Intimacy through Nurturing Knowledge and Skills) program. Section 1 provides an overview of the course and the needed tools to form a class, choose a format, and facilitate discussion around the most important areas. Section 2 is divided into five sessions that provide instructions for conducting 43-minute classes. The sessions address: relentlessly pursue intimacy with your partner; respectfully cultivate trust; reciprocate meeting needs; resiliently chart your course; and romantically review your union. The five dynamics of the Relationship Attachment Model (RAM) are also explained. Each session begins with a review of the research and theory that is pertinent to the material in that particular session, followed by a detailed lesson plan, discussion questions, and exercises for that session. A participant workbook is also included, along with a 3-DVD set that includes an instructor certification course, a 2-DVD set on the LINKS educational program, and a CD-ROM PowerPoint presentation. A RAM board is provided.
