This mentor recruitment kit includes a promotional brochure and a DVD designed to assist churches in recruiting mentors for youth. The poster includes information on the federally funded MentorYouth.com Initiative and reasons for churches to become involved in mentoring youth. Strategies are discussed for leading the mentoring recruitment program and recruiting mentors using three different approaches: church-wide recruiting, modified church-wide recruitment, and personal recruitment. Tips are also provided for making a group presentation on the MentorYouth.com Initiative. The DVD includes a 5-minute and 2-minute version that features youth talking about the need for mentors and explains how adults can use the website to find mentoring programs in their communities.
