“I Don’t: Divorce Rates by State”
Divorce rates in the United States vary state to state. Per 1,000 people, Massachusetts touts the lowest rate at 1.8, while Nevada takes the crown with the most number of divorces at 6.6. Divorce rates were calculated using the number of divorces and annulments by state, collected in the National Vital Statistics Report from December 2008 to November 2009, divided by state population, collected by the U.S. Census Bureau as of July 1, 2009. All figures used were the most recent available.
